I never got a heads up from any moms that when I put my child down for a nap, he would precede to pull his pants off. Then move to the poopy diaper and take that off! Oh my goodness, what a mess on our hands! I have been sick, so I was lying down and I heard Sam go in and check on Glen. Next thing I hear is the panic call of my name from Sam. Hahaha! I walked into quite a sight. Sam is holding Glen under the arms away from him and the room stinks like poop. I thought it was quite funny. Sam didn't. It could have been so much worse. Glen threw the dirty diaper to the floor, luckily it landed right side up and not upside down so no poop on the carpet, miracle number 1! The only poop Glen got on him, was on his foot, not sure how he managed that one cause the diaper was full of poop, miracle number 2! There was some poop on the sheets and on his favorite blanket, not too bad. Miracle number 3, Glen did not play in the poop, draw on the wall with the poop, or eat the poop! Like I said it could have been so much worse, so to me this was a laughing matter. Glen heard me laughing and he decided that he should laugh to, so we got a hearty HaHaHa from him! Icing on the cake. Does this mean he is ready for potty training? Not sure. We'll play it by ear.
So a warning to any new mothers: beware! Child may take diaper off, be ready for it to be a poopy diaper!
I have been sick since Wed. night and have lost my voice. Sam is really enjoying the peace and quiet, and the lack of nagging I have been able to do. Having no voice has really frustrated me and poor Glen does not know how to handle it. Hopefully it will be back soon. Sam is having a great weekend so far. Georgia Tech won yet another game, to University of Virgina, which was a big win, and if the Falcons pull out a win today at 4pm then it will have been a perfect weekend for him.
Hope all is well with everyone!
