Andy came over for dinner last night while he was here in Ga for some training. We had a good time visiting. He got to feed and hold the baby and Glen had a blast playing with him. It was a really good night. The coconut creme pie did not turn out well at all. I'm not sure what I did wrong, maybe I didn't simmer it on the stove long enough before I put it in the pie crust. I think I'm gonna have to try it again. Maybe a different recipe.

What a Day!!
Well Glen went poo poo in the potty 2 more times today, and he was so proud of himself. Of course I'm one proud mama too!
Took the boys to the dr's today to find out what's going on with them. Glen has an ear infection to go with the stuffy, runny nose. William's stuffy, runny nose doesn't seem to be a problem yet. He is however apparently allergic to milk protein and soy. The soy formula and the milk based sensitive formula gave him a bad rash and bad gas and diarrhea. So now we are trying nutramagin, the expensive stuff. Hopefully this will work. He has been really miserable the past few days.

Potty Training 103
Woohoo!! Glen is progressing through the potty training stages!! I was dusting and Glen came and got me and said poop. My first thought was that Buddy had gone to the bathroom in the house. Then I remembered when Glen pooped in his room and that was my next thought. So I followed Glen out of my bedroom and instead of going into his room, he turned into the bathroom, said poop again and pointed to the potty!! Needless to say, I got really excited! So we did a poo poo dance in the bathroom and celebrated. Letting Glen run around the house naked has been the best potty training technique that I have come across. He is now covered in the stickers he got as a reward and we put some big boy underpants on him to see if he will go in the bathroom and pull his pants down to go.
We'll see, wish us luck!!

Family Gathering
Yesterday, we went to the big Atl for a family get together. William got to meet Aunt Carol, Uncle Billy, Grandma, Aunt Erin, Uncle Richard, Auburn, and Mary for the first time. He also got to see Grandma Mac and Uncle John again. We all had a good time visiting with family we don't get to see on a regular basis. Glen even used the big potty while we were there. We are so proud of him. I will post pictures at the end of the month.

The battle was won!!
The battle of the Army Worm Invasion of the bermuda lawn wars was won today, with an astonishing performance by King Green!! The army worms tried to take over our lawn about 2 - 3 weeks ago. It was very overwhelming at first when we couldn't figure out why our new sod was dying. They came in the night and were never seen, but a battalion of worms somewhere were not cautious enough in their quest to take over the lawns and were taken as prisoners of war. This enabled scientists to find ways to take them out and defeat them. Because of this, we were able to use this information to our advantage and succeeded. This was a great victory in this long and ongoing war that takes place every year from spring to early fall! Tonight we will celebrate with fine dining and dancing!!!
Stay tuned for reports from the next battle that will surely take place. What will it be? Constant rain so that the grass can not be mowed, invasion of billbug, cinch bugs, fire ants, grubs. The list goes on and on. It is a hard fought war but well worth the endless battles to drive up the street when you come home and see a beautiful, green lawn.
We will prevail!!

Under the Weather!
Poor William has his first cold at 6 1/2 weeks old. Glen and I picked the cold up from somewhere, probably Wal-mart, despite the fact that I continuously used hand sanitizer while we were there. We did our best to not give this bug to the little guy, but it just didn't work out. Glen and I are feeling better but poor Will just started with the symptoms yesterday. Hopefully he gets over it as quick as Glen did. He seems to be handling it fairly well. He is still eating like a champ and no fever, so let's keep our fingers crossed.
Oh and while I was typing this, Glen just ran to the bathroom to sit on the potty and do his business!! Isn't that exciting!!

Potty Basics!
So I finally got Glen into his big boy under ware. I let him run around naked for a little while and then I told him it was time to get dressed and there were no arguments. We only went through 3 pairs of under ware today. I did get lucky, when it was time for a nap we put him in pull ups and when he woke up before we got him back into big boy under ware he pooped. Yeah!! It was not in the big boy under ware so I got to throw it away!! Not looking forward to the first poopy under ware!

Potty Training 102!
Glen is getting really good at using the potty when he is running around in the buff!! We attempted big boy under ware today. He did really well! He was standing in the living room and started yelling potty over and over while running to the bathroom. He pulled the plastic pants off and his under ware down very quickly then sat on the potty and peed! I checked his under ware and they were just a little wet, so he put the two together! He did great!! Now, getting him into another pair of under ware is a challenge. He is absolutely refusing to put them on. I'm open to suggestions if anyone has them.

Boy Oh Boy!!
Well a lot has happened since the last update!! William Allen is finally here! I'm sure everyone knows he was born on the 4th of July. He was 7lbs 7oz, & 19 1/2 inches long. And that was 23 days early!! I'm not sure how big he would have been if he went to the due date or past!! Anyway, he is growing quite fast. At his last check up with the dr he weighed 8lbs 14 oz, & 21 inches long. He is really starting to try and pick his head up now too. His eyesight has definitely improved as he is now making eye contact with us. He likes to look at his big brother too. Will was having an allergic reaction to the soy formula so the dr switched him over to the lactose free milk based and the rash seems to be clearing up. The dr said it could take 2 weeks for the rash to go away.
Glen loves his little brother, as you can tell by the picture. He likes to hold him and touch his feet, hands, head and face. Occasionally he will hold the bottle and help me feed Will. He is also starting to use the potty more and more! If I let him run around with no bottoms on, he just goes to the bathroom and sits on the potty when he has to pee. Occasionally he will let me know he is going potty. Usually though, I go in to check the potty and he has peed. And some days he won't use the potty at all. Glen has moved up to Pre-School one in daycare. He seems to really like it. He doesn't get to see his girlfriend Eva as much but they do see each other at snack and lunch time. I was told that he stands at the door to his classroom hollering out her name before they sit down to eat. When I picked him up on Thurs. he was in the classroom with her and gave her a very big hug and kiss when we left. I'm gonna have my hands full with this boy when he gets older I think!
Sam has been working very hard this summer. Lots of over time and the heat is really doing him in! He hanging in there and ready for the fall and a vacation! I've been trying to get back into a rhythm and a schedule. So far, so good. I have a lot of catching up to do on the scrapbooking and of course on here! The Little Engine that Could's mantra has become my own. If that little train can do it, so can I!!
