What a Great Thanksgiving!!

Glen really had a big day. On our way to Meme and Pepe's house we swung by Grandma Daphne's house. He got to play with some toys there and see our neighbor's family. Everyone enjoyed the short visit. When we got to Meme and Pepe's house the turkey was almost done and Pepe was almost done hanging the Christmas lights. We played outside and helped with the lights, then we went inside for a nap. When the turkey and ham were ready we sat down for the big family lunch. Great Grandma Nancy came up to spend thanksgiving with us and Uncle John and Aunt Linda, and Uncle Tom and Aunt Bonnie, and Uncle Nick were there too. After lunch Glen helped clean the dishes. He washed a cheese spreader under supervision. Later on Uncle Nick's Girlfriend Jaclyn came over for dessert. We had pecan pie, 2 kinds of pumpkin pie, and cherry pie. We also played domino's. Then it was time to go. Uncle Andy and Aunt Sheri and the girls spent the night at our house after Cleve and Jackie's dinner rehearsal, but that is another story for another time.

Glen at the Zoo!!

We had a great time at the zoo. Glen enjoyed playing with his Uncle Nick. We saw lots of animals. Unfortunately, the batteries in my camera died when we got to the lions. That was near the beginning of the zoo. When we got to the gorillas we discovered that was Glen's favorite of all the animals. He had fun watching the baby gorillas run around and play. They were really cute! One baby kept coming to the glass and hitting it and licking it. I took Glen to the glass where the baby kept going to and when it came back Glen was excited. He put his hand on the glass where the baby's head was and it looked like he wanted to pet it. He won't remember this but I will. Glen's Uncle Nick really enjoyed being with him. He carried and played with him, and just before we left the zoo, Glen fell asleep. Uncle Nick took Glen out of the stroller and put him into the car seat and buckled him in. Glen did not wake up. I think it was because he was so tired. We left Atlanta around 5pm and the traffic was horrible. We made it home in 1 1/2 hours, so it wasn't too bad. Definitely worth it!! Check out the slide show of the zoo pics.

Glen Learned Something New!!

I just put Glen to bed and decieded that I would post about Glen's new thing. He has learned to push down the big red lever on his ball popper all by himself. He is such a big boy now. He is still trying to get the hang of putting the balls back on the ramp so it will go back into the popper. Glen would rather hold onto the ball and carry it around. He did however try to put a square block into the round hole the ball comes out of. I figure he will eventually get the hang of it, but for now we are having fun watching him try to figure things out. Sam got off call today, so he is pretty siked about that and he is looking forward to football this weekend. He and Glen like to watch the games together. I am doing very well. Glen and I are going to meet his Uncle Nick at the zoo tomarrow. I think we are going to have a great time!! I will post pics tomarrow of that excursion. Till then.....

Once again, thank you Aunt Shannon. I don't know how but it worked. Glen is about to turn 1, and as a tribute to the baby G (aka Glen) I have posted a slide show of pics from his birthday. Mainly for those of you who have not seen the pics yet.

Thank You Aunt Shannon!!

Thanks Aunt Shannon for the inspiration to finally start my own family blog!! This is going to be an easy way to keep in touch with family and friends. This way I won't forget to let anyone know what is going on in our lives. I am very excited about doing this and I hope everyone enjoys this blog. I am winging this and learning on my own as I go, so if everyone would please bear with me, I am sure I will get the hang of it. I would like to update this page every week, but we'll see.

Love to everyone,

Amanda
